Unfortunately had a large fire August 2024 and as yet has not reopened. Closest shop is COOP in Seascale, 2 miles away

So sad to hear about the fire that wrecked the shop, used to love the food served here when I visited. Hope they get back on their feet soon

Not the cheapest but it’s the only shop for miles so I understand why. Used the delicatessen for breakfast and bacon, sausage barns were good. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Ok selection of merchandise but the look of the place is a disgrace, half the floor tiles are missing and stock lying all over the place. Can’t believe they haven’t been sued yet from someone taking a fall

The most polite young gent serving at the till. Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Incredible customer service and beautifully well spoken 5*****

Looks to be rebranded and revamped from the current name on google maps now a Budgens. Amazing store, no need for a supermarket with this place on the door step. The fresh food that was being made looked awsome, didnt get to try it but if its half as good as it looked it will be great!

They have everything! And an amazing sandwich delicatessen inside that I can't wait to try. Young lads on the tills were kind and helpful. Picked up some really reasonably priced maps and a walking book, which I wouldn't expect to find here. Great opening hours.

Unfortunately both members of staff that served us in the store weren't friendly at all, quite rude to be completely honest. To top off the substandard customer service, the lady serving food in the kitchen wasn't even capable of making my sandwich properly. She just slopped it in the bread like a grumpy old dinner lady which caused it to fall apart and spill absolutely everywhere when I tried to eat it? Such a shame because I do love to support local business but I will not be going back there anytime soon after my experience. Staff in the kitchen were also coughing and handling food WITHOUT wearing a mask or gloves. I'm aware it's not mandatory for workers to wear a mask but if they're coughing and touching the freshly prepared food with their bare hands (probably after they've coughed into them), that's not acceptable! I would not recommend this store, go elsewhere!

I am a local and try to support local businesses, but I have now decided enough is enough. Both my hubby and I smoke and we buy every day 2 packets and have done for over a year along with daily provisions. For the past few months, they have never got the cigarettes that we require, we have both spoken to the staff and owners numerous times and still they do not order them. I will be taking my custom to Seascale from now on, we feel we have given them enough chances but to no avail. Carry on this way, you will not have business in the future.
